I think I speak for all of us when I say that yesterday's meeting was wildly encouraging, with the exception of Kyle's filibustering, and awful name suggestions. Below are the minutes from the meeting. We can continue to discuss these things in the comments below.

Attendance: Gabriel Pace, Kyle Montanez, Sean Murphy, Tim Swanson
- At the outset of the meeting we agreed on the set of guidelines as outlined by Tim in the handbook.
- We discussed and agreed that our regular rolling meetings will take place on the 1st Monday of the month from 5:30p - 9:30p. Sean and Kyle still need to confirm this time with their wives.
- We discussed healthy storage of rolled cigars, and agreed that an ice chest is the best way to store cigars for the immediate future.
- We discussed names and discovered that some d-bag already took our favorite name - Brotherhood Cigars. So we discussed a number of alternate names. We have not agreed on a name yet, so I've included some of our discussion names below:
Covert Cigars | Nordic Ruins | Jack Dog Cigars | Alliance Cigar Club | Khona Cigars | Fraternal Cigars | Lineage Cigar Club | Cloak-N-Daggar Cigars | and literally anything else in the world aside form Damascus Road... which is a terrible name.We also discussed the possibility of using a southwestern sounding name, and several of us are doing research into that.
- As it is our priority to glorify Jesus Christ through cigar rolling, we agreed to open and close each meeting with prayer. And we discussed potentially doing communion at each meeting.
- While discussing funding, Gabriel mentioned the idea of doing crowd funding to pay for our club needs. While we have not yet made a decision about this option, he agreed to research this option for the future.
- Finally, we agreed that each of us would contribute a one time club fee of $50 for the purpose of buying tobacco and other necessary items. Please bring your $50 to our April 6th meeting.
Just searching for some other possible names: Valiant, fearless, galant, cavalier, prizefighter, brawler, bruiser, man-at-arms, coalition...any thoughts?
ReplyDeleteDude, I like prizefighter. It resonates with me. I also like Coalition Cigars... it feels good for me.
