| Our first batch looks great! Good job guys. |
Men,
Our April 6th meeting was great. We rolled about 20 cigars, and got more than 15 wrapped. Currently, everything that we wrapped has been through the freezer and are now sitting out to dry out a little before going into a cool-a-dor (which Gabe and I have yet to make).
As we move forward to next month, here are the things we need to keep in mind.
1. Our first blend: we decided on a 2 leaf filler blend, that's outlined below.
3 parts Corojo Seco
1 Part Dominican Ligero
1 Sumatra Binder
1 Equador CT Shade Wrapper
2. We need to finish wrapping the cigars that did not get finished at our last meeting. Sean and Kyle, email me with a time you want to get together to do that.
3. Gabe has given me his $50 for club supplies, but I still need to collect from Kyle and Sean. Please get me your cash so that I can get our order in and have our much needed supplies before our next meeting.
4. I'll continue to cook dinners for our meetings, and I'll occasionally call you guys to bring a main dish or side.
5. IMPORTANT NOTE: We have to be careful with how much water we're spraying on our filler leafs. All of Kyle's cigars started growing mold on the insides. They're not completely destroyed, but they're definitely not production grade now. I have not found mold on anyone else's cigars at this point, but I'll keep my eyes peeled.
6. Our next meeting is Monday, May 4th at 5:30. We'll pay closer attention to the time, and begin cleaning up no later than 9:15 at our next meeting so that we don't go over again.
Thanks guys, so far this club rocks!!!
Tim

Kyle always was a heavy squirter....

ReplyDeleteI found a bunch of rooms on Groupon for less than $50 a night. I think this is an awesome idea. And I'm in.
