Here are a couple of logo concepts that I drafted up. Please feel free to criticize them as much as you'd like. We can do away with both of them if you'd like. My feelings won't be hurt.
If, on the other hand, we do decide to use one of these, we'll likely have to have a graphic artist make a rendering that will be legal for us to use since all of the images and fonts I used are copyright protected. But we should be able to get that done on the cheaps.
Concept #1 Saloon Brand
This is a play on a late 1800's saloon sign. I thought this would go well being that we are in AZ. The latin words at the foot of the logo translate: For Christ and for the church, which is a tidy summation of our purpose.
This design stresses simplicity. The three level banner and font give the banner a vintage 1800's feel. I added the word 'Arizona' to the logo, which helped drive the imagery to more of a Southwest feel. Other words that would work in that top line are Phoenix, Southwest, Desert, or anything else you can think of.
What do you guys think? This works best when you're brutally honest.
